Sizing Charts
Size Charts are a great starting guide to finding your perfect size, however there is no better way than coming in store & trying the dress on to see for yourself! If you're in Perth & can come visit us, please do - we would LOVE to meet you!
Buying online always comes with the risk of getting the wrong size! If you're not in WA and need to find your perfect fit using the size chart, please start by measuring yourself in the correct places on your body (see the diagram of the lady below!). It's essential to have someone else take your measurements—absolutely DO NOT take them yourself, as it's incredibly easy to get them wrong. Always take your measurements in your underwear, and when measuring your height for the length, ensure you're wearing the same size heels you'll wear on the big day. Also, consider any changes in your measurements due to lifestyle, exercise, or other factors leading up to the event, as these can affect the final fit.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any trouble with your sizing or are unsure which size to choose - we are more than happy to help you decide! Much love xo
Tania Olsen Sizing
BUST – Stand Straight. Don’t wear bulky layers Measure under the arms, around the fullest part of their bust with only the bra they intend to wear with the dress.
NATURAL WAIST – Measure around their natural waistline. Approx 1.5 inches above the belly button. Ensure customer is relaxed and not inhaling.
HIPS – Stand Straight – Ensure nothing is in pockets Run the tape around the hip/middle bottom. Not the hip bones. Tape should be firm but not overly tight.
LENGTH If your customer measures over 5’9 in height, we recommended extra length be ordered. Extra length is set at 4 inches. Hollow to floor is 61 inches.
Tania Olsen Designs strongly suggests the store of purchase take the measurements of the customer. After writing down all the measurements, look on the size charts provided to see which sizes the customer is lining up with.
Sizes cannot be changed once ordered are confirmed. It is normal to be between 2-3 sizes and the correct size should be chosen based on their shape and the style of gown. All sizes should be selected based on the customers measurements on the size chart.
Dress samples should be used for the style only as they can stretch and change shape over time and not give an accurate size.
